Yes, Mark Gilheany was the first Australian foot surgeon to obtain a fellowship in evidence-based MIS foot and ankle surgery.  His depth of experience in this area means that you will receive advice on when this form of surgery is appropriate!

Are all surgeries performed in a hospital?

No not all surgeries have to be performed in a hospital setting. Many foot procedures can be performed under local Anaesthetic in the office.

After my surgery will I see Mark for a follow up?

Yes, Mark endeavours to see all patient’s post-surgery, to ensure that your recovery and rehabilitation process is seamless and following standard and expected recovery times.

Can I see a podiatric surgeon if I am on work cover?

Yes, you can see a podiatric surgeon if you are on work cover, however, you will need to apply to have the fees covered by the insurer and bring along the approval letter with you.
