Injection (Steroid and other)

Here at FASA our specialists have been teaching health care practitioners at an academic and clinical level for 20 years on the benefits of injection therapy to both Biostimulate and act as a  regenerative therapy.

We use a range of solutions which are tailored to your condition and needs, this includes cortisone (several different types) and a range of prolotherapy agents are also available.

All injections are combined with local anaesthetic blocks for your comfort.

We use a range of devices and techniques to stabilise your injury whilst the area heel. We don’t just “stick you in a walker”. Timing of the right immobilisation technique and relating this to rehabilitation is critical for recovery.

It is important to maximise your recovery from foot and ankle injury. This means understanding when and how to apply a range of different immobilisation techniques.

At FASA we are skilled in the supply and or application of the complete variety of speciality immobilisation techniques for all ages.

MLS Laser therapy

How does it work?

  • Laser therapy uses specific light waves to accelerate the natural healing processes.
  • The laser operates simultaneously at two wavelengths to provide anti-oedemic, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic effects.
  • The energy emitted stimulates intra-cellular activity. This reduces pain in the area and speeds recovery of damaged cells. The healing process is assisted by this action.

What can laser be used for?

The MLS laser can be used to treat many conditions including: Muscle strains/tears

  • Neurological pain
  • Swelling (acute and chronic)
  • Foot ulcers
  • Arthritis
  • Heal pain and plantar fasciitis
  • Shin splints
  • Post-surgical areas
  • Ankle sprains
  • Achilles tendonitis

Depending on your problem the laser therapy can be a standalone treatment or built into a management plan with other treatments.

The laser has many benefits to its use including:

  • Rapid relief of pain, reducing or removing the need for prescription painkillers
  • Strong anti-inflammatory effect
  • No negative side effects reported
  • Faster healing of sprains & strains
  • Faster injury recovery
  • Reduces swelling
  • Improvement in local blood circulation
  • Faster healing of foot ulcers
  • Reduced scar tissue formation
